This Privacy Policy explains how Mena Manara Group (FZE) ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use the humm..it website and applications (the "Service"). We process personal data in line with UAE Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021 on the Protection of Personal Data (PDPL), and the EU GDPR where it applies.

Information we collect

• Account data — your name, email address, and authentication identifiers (including from Apple or Google sign-in if you use them).
• Your content — voice recordings you create, their transcripts, and the notes, contacts, and action items derived from them.
• Usage & device data — app/version, device type, language, IP address, and basic analytics about how the Service is used.
• Payment data — handled by our payment processors. We do not store your full card details on our servers.

How we use your information

• To provide the Service: transcribe recordings, extract contacts and action items, and sync your notes across your devices.
• To operate, secure, and improve the Service.
• To process subscriptions and payments, and to send service and billing communications.
• To meet legal and regulatory obligations.

We do not sell your personal data.

Service providers we share data with

We share data only with processors who help us run the Service, under confidentiality and data-processing terms, or where required by law:

• Third-party payment processing providers, including but not limited to Stripe.
• Cloud service providers for speech-to-text transcription.
• Cloud service providers for summarising transcripts, including but not limited to Google, OpenAI, and Anthropic.
• Google Firebase for push notifications.
• Hosting and infrastructure providers.

Some providers may process data outside the UAE. Where they do, we rely on appropriate safeguards consistent with the PDPL and applicable law.

On-device processing

Where available, transcription happens on your device, with the option to keep transcription completely local to your device. Your first note may be transcribed in the cloud (the audio is sent to our speech-to-text provider) for speed and accuracy, while subsequent notes are transcribed locally on-device if you choose to do so. Trial notes on the website stay on your device until you choose to create an account. Some features are not available with on-device transcription.

Data retention

We keep your account data and content for as long as your account is active, and afterwards only as needed to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. You can delete notes at any time, and you can request deletion of your account.

Your rights

Subject to UAE PDPL (and GDPR where applicable), you may request access to, correction of, deletion of, or a copy of your personal data, and you may object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise these rights, contact us using the details below.

Cookies & analytics

We use a small number of cookies for preferences and privacy-respecting, self-hosted analytics. You can disable cookies in your browser settings.

Children

The Service is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their personal data.

We may update this policy from time to time; the "last updated" date above reflects the latest revision.
